BOI Report

Here's how to file the mandatory Beneficial Ownership Information Report.

But first some background information...

Small business owners need to know about the Corporate Transparency Act that has signed into law the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report. The law requires certain business entities to provide information about the true owners of the company.  The new law's purpose is to give transparency about who owns a company.  One of its requirements is for nearly all registered/formed businesses to fill out a form on a government website, FinCEN.gov. This law was temporarily blocked 12/3 but then reinstated on 12/23.
